Can you grind coffee beans in a Vitamix blender? The short answer is absolutely yes. The Vitamix blenders, and by that I mean all of them, can grind hard coffee beans to the desired coarseness or fineness. Of course, I will explain everything you must consider when grinding coffee with Vitamix, in this blog post.

Which Vitamix is suitable for grinding coffee?

You can use All Vitamix models to grind coffee. I use the Vitamix A2500i Ascent Series, which is the very latest model from the Vitamix brand and grinds the perfect coffee for me.

Is there a special Vitamix container to grind dry goods?

The Vitamix has launched a special dry-grain container designed specifically for this purpose. Thus, Vitamix also recommends that you only use this container for this purpose. For my first attempt at grinding coffee beans, I used the regular container that comes with a Vitamix A3500i Ascent Series. Therefore, some customers have reported that when using the regular container for very hard products such as coffee beans or grains, the Vitamix container becomes milky or cloudy. However, this is only an aesthetic effect. This does not affect the performance of the Vitamix stainless steel laser cut blades. This information is just to let you know in advance.

What makes the Vitamix blades special?

Laser-cut blades are the keyword here. Vitamix uses hardened stainless steel laser cut blades for all Vitamix models, which, according to them, never need to be re-sharpened. The special arrangement and sharpness of the blades increase the longevity of a Vitamix blender and ensure that it can blend quieter and longer.

The Vitamix company, which has been around for over 100 years, has developed a special technology to cut the products. The blades are arranged in a specific way for you. Further, Vitamix uses special aircraft-grade stainless steel blades. Which are designed to perfectly blend any food, no matter how hard or soft, for you.

Equally important, Vitamix uses the metal drive system, which makes it possible for the container to connect to the motor. Thus achieving better blending results and longevity.

Usage of a Vitamix

You can use a Vitamix for all sorts of things. Moreover, for example, you can use it to make everything from healthy smoothies to soups or nut spreads. You can also grind dry products such as grains, coffee beans, chia seeds, etc. very finely with the Vitamix.

Which coffee beans should I use?

It is always good to use the best possible quality of products for the Vitamix. I have been drinking only the best specialty coffee for years. I use the coffee beans from The Barn coffee roasters, which have flavors like caramel or chocolate. Furthermore, I grind these coffee beans in my Vitamix and the result is perfect.
