How To Use A French Press
What you need to make it:
- 1 French coffee press, for this recipe I’m using this Zwilling French press
- 300g organic arabica coffee
- 500ml filtered organic water
Instructions:
First, bring the 500ml filtered water to a boil. Add the loose organic coffee to the French press so that the bottom is covered. Then fill it up with 500ml of filtered hot water. Make circular movements, hence everything is covered with water.
Now comes the interesting part. I always love to watch this one. You now slowly press the water down until you reach the bottom of the French Press. You let this steep for about 1 hour.
Pro-tip: The longer the coffee brews, the stronger it gets. In the same fashion, you can steep it longer if you like it stronger.
The taste will balance out nicely in the end as the oat milk is added.
Now your cold brew coffee is ready! Enjoy!

How Much Organic Cold Brew Coffee Should I Drink Per Day?
I think that coffee intake varies from person to person. Of course, it also depends on the coffee bean. For example, Black Insomnia Coffee is the strongest coffee bean in the world. With 237 milligrams of caffeine per 100 milliliters, the caffeine content is significantly higher than Death Wish coffee.
Therefore, it depends on the bean, but I do not recommend consuming more than 2 cups (0.47 l) per day.
Can I Freeze Cold Brew Coffee?
When I make a larger supply of cold brew coffee, I often freeze the rest into small ice cubes.
That way I can be sustainable and use the ice cubes when I need them.
I use cubes like this. Read my oat milk ice cube recipe here!
How long can I freeze my cold brew coffee cubes?
You can easily keep them in your fridge for 3 months because they don’t go bad.
Pro-tip: Make sure there is no refrigerator freeze. To prevent this, the container in which the cubes are stored should be hermetically sealed. This frost can affect the taste of organic coffee.
