What Is Matcha?

Matcha is a type of green tea that is made from finely ground tea leaves. Unlike regular black or green tea, matcha is prepared by steeping the leaves in water at a very low temperature for about two and a half minutes. Unquestionably, this high-quality water allows the matcha to retain more flavor and nutrients from the tea leaves. When I prepare matcha, I need to use high-quality water. The purified minerals will give the beverage a better-elevated taste.

What Are the Health Benefits of Matcha?

Drinking matcha has many health benefits, including reducing stress, improving memory and concentration, and boosting your immune system.

Reducing Stress: The most compelling evidence for using matcha is that it effectively reduces stress levels. In one study, participants who drank matcha significantly reduced cortisol levels after completing a psychological stress test.

How Does Matcha Taste?

Matcha tastes different depending on the tea cultivar and the brewing process. The most common type of matcha is sencha, made from three tea types: red, green, black, and yellow. Other popular matcha flavors include honeydew melon, peach, and raspberry. Compared to other green teas, it can taste mild to bitter. The more expensive ceremonial grade matcha has a complexity of taste to it. Culinary matcha will be dull and also taste plain.

What Is an Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte?

Iced vanilla matcha latte is made by cooling hot matcha before serving and adding Madagascan vanilla drops into the drink. This gives the stoned-grounded tea an enhanced vanilla flavor. By letting the green tea cool down, it preserves the flavor and nutrients in the tea. The addition of Madagascar vanilla will give your taste buds a distinct savor. You can also enjoy warm matcha tea; here is my recipe!

Why Should I Drink Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte?

There are many reasons to drink green tea. It is a great morning pick-me-up, and it has many health benefits. Once I started drinking and getting accustomed to the taste, I could not let go of this habit.

Drink the stoned-grounded tea if you’re looking for a natural way to reduce stress. I noticed a significant stress relief when I drank matcha regularly for one month. I noticed that I felt fresher and more aligned with my energy levels.

My memory and concentration improved, and I felt a boost in my immune system and reduced inflammation. Additionally, it has a rich flavor that can be enjoyed no matter what. To make this specific drink, I suggest glass jars. Drinking out of them is fun!

How Much Caffeine Is In Matcha?

Most matcha have about 25–35 milligrams of caffeine. In many ways, this is comparable to coffee. However, people can vary in their sensitivity to caffeine, so it’s always best to consult with a health professional before starting any new diet or exercise regimen. I recommend not overconsuming green tea, which can lead to caffeine toxicity.

Where Can I Find Matcha?

You can find finely powdered tea at most grocery stores and specialty retailers. But I recommend always getting the ceremonial grade matcha, which is the highest quality. This will provide the best results for your health and taste buds. Nothing beats ceremonial grade matcha. It is significantly different from culinary-grade matcha.

In contrast to ceremonial grade matcha, which is often for ceremonies or individuals who want the best taste and highest quality, culinary grade matcha is best for cooking and baking. This is because the ceremonial grade matcha is more expensive.

Here, you can find the matcha I’m using.
